Our Vision
Founded in 1997 by Leland & Diana Payne, Anointed Vessels Ministry is backed by 17 years of ministry experience. In 1993, after seeing her son participate in a drama at a local church, Diana Payne became interested in starting a drama troupe at her home church. That year she started a drama troupe, with 5 teens from her congregation, whose purpose was ministry through drama. After these teens graduated from high school, and moved on, Diana continued to minister by staging holiday productions within her church.
In 1997 the troupe began to work on portrayals of biblical characters based on the scriptures, as well as the holiday productions.
In August 1997 Diana founded the Anointed Vessels Ministry. The vision the Lord gave her was threefold: 1) to "WAKE UP THE BODY OF CHRIST", 2) to "SEEK AND TO SAVE THE LOST" 3) and to "PREPARE FOR THE CELEBRATION and HIS RETURN." This was also the year the Anointed Vessels Troupe began to minister outside their home church. In 1998 the Anointed Vessels did one of their first major productions outside their church called "Women of the Bible". The troupe , at this time , consisted of women and youth of various ages, doing productions that incorporated drama, mime,Hebrew dance and portrayal of scenes from Heaven, the Feast of Passover, the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, as well as scenes involving modern society.
It was also in 1998, while Diana's mother Frances was in the hospital fighting cancer, that her study of Revelation took on a more personal meaning as she sought to know more about Heaven. It was during this time that the Lord began to give Diana a vision for the "For His Glory" project, and the way it could be used to draw the lost to Christ, and encourage the families of believers. March 9th 2001 Diana received her Certifcate of Ordination with The Missionary Church International and was recognized as a Minister of the Gospel with authority to administer the ordinances of the Church and perform all those duties and enjoy all those privleges to which a minister of Christ is called and entitled. At such time Anointed Vessels Ministry was Chartered in affiliation with The Missionary Church International as the Parent Organization. Anointed Vessels Ministry holds a tax exempt 501 (c) (3) as a non-profit ministry.
In 2004 Anointed Vessels Ministry consisted of 12 individuals. 2009 Currently the Anointed Vessels Ministry consists of over 80 individuals. With 5 Ordained Ministers, 17 Servant Leaders, men and women, teenagers, & children of various ages and denominations who are committed to the Lord, is sharing the gospel through the performing and visual arts.
Throughout the year they meet weekly to pray, study, practice and prepare for ministry, and work on the grounds developing the set and the next phases of For His Glory project which consist of 5 areas. Anointed Vessels also provide counseling and prayer for those who wish to receive Christ, need physical or emotional healing, or wish to make positive lifestyle changes.
The first week in December 2004, 2005 was a wonderful presentation of the Birth, Death, Burial and Resurrection of the Lord called THE GREATEST GIFT, which consisted of only 12 individuals. Out of those 12 were 5 leaders who decided we would step out in faith and do God’s Masterpiece in 2006 which we needed 60 individuals that the Lord did provided. In 2007, 2008 we did Bethlehem To Patmos in which our Lord added 12 Servant Leaders, cast and crew which were over 80 individuals from different denominations, coming for one purpose in unity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ “For His Glory” and we were promised Souls For The Kingdom of God.
What a wonderful experience this has been. We are looking for those who would like to use their gifts unto the Lord so if you know anyone who would like to be a part of our ministry, tell them about us, share our web-site or they can contact us at 910-287-4267 Leland E.
