Founder and Visionary

Anointed Vessels Ministry is a non-profit ministry located in Ash, NC, founded for the purpose of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the performing and visual arts!


Leland E. Payne, Captain, born Dec. 9, 1947 in Riverdale, MD, and joined the US Army Sept 30, 1966. Served in Vietnam June 30, 1968 through June 29 1969; Went back to Vietnam March 1, 1971, through February 15, 1972 achieved the rank of Captain and was in C Co. 4/47, 9th Inf. Division.

Capt. Payne was discharged Oct. 19, 1972 and was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart w/OLC, Air Medal, Army Commendation Metal w/V Device, 4th OLC, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Expert 45, M 14 Marksman, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry w/Gold Star.

Worked as an Apprentice in Govt. Electronics, Security Supervisor, Theater Manager, Deputy Sheriff Capt, Chief of Police, Monroe GA. Self employed, wholesaler, self employed, owner of Gideon Security Agency, and the US Postal Service......More




Rev. Diana M. Payne is a Visionary. She presents a challenge to Anointed Vessels that calls forth the best in people and brings them together around a shared sense of purpose.

What makes a visionary become a visionary leader? A visionary may dream wonderful visions of future and articulate them with great inspiration. A visionary is good with words. But a visionary leader is good with actions as well as words, and so can bring his/her vision into being in the world, thus transforming it in some way. More than words are needed for a vision to take form in todays world. It requires leadership and heartfelt commitment. A visionary leader is effective in manifesting his/or her vision because she creates specific, achievable goals, initiates action and enlists the participation of others.....More
