Servant Leader
Nancy Duke... is one of our Servant Leaders
One of our Servant Leaders:
Nancy was born in Virginia, a real Southern Belle, and raised on a tobacco farm surrounded by her Mother’s large extended family. Her maternal grandparents, who both died before she was born, had provided space for a new church in their packing house, and later donated funds to buy property and begin building a real Church building. Nancy was always in church growing up and has always loved the Lord. At eleven years old she professed Christ as her Savior. Even when her life was disrupted by a divorce and she was living a life not pleasing to God she continued in that love, taking her three children to church almost every Sunday. She once asked her Sunday school teacher, who was the Pastor’s wife, should a person who was doing something unpleasing to God stop attending church? The wise woman replied, Church is for sinners. The Lords love continued to draw Nancy closer to Him and she was restored to that wonderful closeness to Him. Praise His Name! Even through the death of her daughter from cancer Nancy was able to praise God for His blessings knowing He has a reason for everything.
Nancy and her husband, Ray, have had a joyous time serving the Lord together. For many years they have been involved with Campaign for Christ, an evangelistic ministry, even traveling to South Africa to help minister there on three occasions. Nancy has made six mission trips to foreign lands, including Belarus, Mexico, and Dominican Republic and of course, South Africa. She serves on the Board of New Way Missions, a ministry which takes groups on mission trips. In addition both she and Ray spend a week ministering in West Virginia after wide spread flooding occurred there. They both feel their ministry is to come along side and help support other ministries as God leads, with encouragement, funding and any other way God provides. Nancy heard about Anointed Vessels Ministry at her church in North Myrtle beach and felt lead to check it out.
She called and made an appointment with Rev. Diana to meet, talk and examine the ministry outreach. As she was driving down the road by the Can You Believe It Outdoor theatre she felt a strong peace and the presence of the Lord... After talking to Rev. Diana, seeing her excitement and dedication to the vision which the Lord had given, Nancy knew she wanted to be a part of this ministry. So in August 2009 she began to assist as she was able and appearing in the drama, Glorious Impossible, as a follower of Christ. God has given Nancy a gift of discernment and she uses it to guide her where she believes God would have her go, trying at all times to honor Him. Anointed Vessels welcomes Mrs. Nancy Duke as one of our Servant Leaders. She will be using her gifts and talents to share with others what we are doing here in Ash, NC by radio, newspapers, advertisements and any other ways of communicating God’s Vision here at Anointed Vessels Ministry.
