Rev. Lisa Danford is a woman desiring to please the Lord in all she says and does, to share the love of her precious Jesus with children as well as adults. Lisa is soft spoken but not afraid to speak out for the Lord and her beliefs. Anyone who has ever been around Lisa will tell you she believes that we should teach our children to live by the Fruit of the Spirit. But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control, against such there is no Law. Galatians 5:22 She will tell you if we can learn to apply the Fruit of the Spirit to each situation we find ourselves in, we can become awesome young ladies and gentlemen of God and be pleasing to be around. Everyone wants to be Popular and these character traits will give you True Popularity.
She attends United Vision Pentecostal Church in Shallotte, NC. Pastor, Rev. Maurice Milligan thinks she is an example of Proverbs 32: 10-31. She always has a smile for her sisters and brother and kind word to comfort each and everyone. She is Christ like at work, at play and in Gods house. She leads the church in many ways: helps with adult choir, lead childrens choir, helps lead Bible School, has taught Sunday school, and sings specials for their church always For His Glory. Lisa has been happily married to her husband Ricky for 21 years. They are parents of two beautiful daughters. They both own and operate Dykes Tires in Shallotte, NC. Rev. Ricky Danford, is an Ordained Minister in their church and Lisa has always been a great help to his ministry and stands beside her man.
The first time Lisa met Rev. Diana Payne was when she came around sharing the Catch the Vision with a brick. Dykes tires purchased a brick that day in showing their support for what we are doing here in Ash. It didnt take Lisa long to want to be a part of this exciting Ministry. The following Saturday Lisa had come to the grounds and she has been here ever since, that was in 2006. Rev. Lisa loves the arts, and wanted to use her gifts, and talents to glorify her Savior, not only within the walls of her church but outside as well.
She has touched the lives of us all. In 2008 she took on the responsibility of working with the children at Anointed Vessels Ministry being a Servant Leader and being one of our Creative Arts Directors. Because there has been a divine call of God on Lisas life for many yearS, she has received her Ordination Certificate, through Anointed Vessels Ministry and TMCI to be set apart to become a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the appropriate scriptures, prayers and the laying on of hands. She has the support of her husband, Pastor, family, and friends. So on April 4, 2009 Lisa was Ordained in Ash, NC. Always remembering: And the servant of the Lord must not strive: but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach patient. 11 Timothy 2:24 Anointed Vessels Ministry looks forward to Rev. Lisa Danford working with your children in the Performing and Visual Arts and you can count on her teaching them the Fruits of the Spirit. While volunteering with Girl Scouts, one little girl was acting out and Rev. Lisa asked her Do you remember the Fruits of the Spirit? She thought a moment, answered The only one I can remember right now is Love. Praise God! Love is the most important of all! Love changes people and situations. Love will heal lifes wounds, nurture, grow and blossom in the hardest of hearts. Lets show somebody Gods love today!
